What to expect
This afternoon in the Yarra Valley is built around what people remember: a glass of sparkling wine at Chandon, and a kangaroo experience at sunset we're confident enough to guarantee. Chandon caps how many people it takes per tour, so most big-bus operators can't get a booking there at all. We can, with groups kept to no more than 12. You'll be guided throughout by a local guide-driver who knows the valley well. Departing Federation Square at 11.30am, you'll enjoy fresh strawberries, a cheese tasting at Coldstream Dairy, a complimentary glass of Chandon sparkling wine, a wine tasting at Yering Station, and a private chocolate tasting, before heading into quiet bushland for the sunset kangaroo experience. We guarantee you'll see wild kangaroos, or your money back. Children aged 2 and up are welcome, with hot chocolate or coffee and time with the farm's sheep for younger guests. Back in Melbourne by early evening.
