What to expect

More Than a Course — It’s a Real Dive Adventure. Your Open Water Diver certification includes a FREE Double Dive Trip to Cook Island Aquatic Reserve, one of the Gold Coast’s top marine sites. Swim alongside turtles, rays, and colorful reef fish during two guided ocean dives — all included at no extra cost. This isn’t just training — it’s your first real adventure as a diver!

Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for pregnant travelers
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Flying within 18–24 hours after scuba diving is not recommended
If you’re over 45 or have any pre-existing medical conditions, you’ll need an AS4005.1 dive medical (valid for one year)
Be at least 10 years old
Be able to swim 200m and float for 10 minutes
Private 1-on-1 training may be available for an additional fee
